Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue 

Units 206/306 (CS38)

This is a 5 day course that covers basic techniques for access into a tree, basic work positioning techniques using lanyards, ropes and other climbing aids appropriately. Aerial tree rescue operations covering various rescue senarios. Vital training for those hoping to progress in the aboricultural industry.

 

Course Content

  • Be able to work safely

  • Be able to access a tree with a rope and harness

  • Be aware of health & safety legislation & industry best practice

  • Knowledge of various access techniques into the tree with a rope & harness/ foot locking techniques

  • Installing friction saving equipment from the ground and multiple friction saving climbing aids
